Benammi born 1979 in Morocco had a passion for melody making from an early age. At home he would spend his time composing songs but wasn't really feeling inspired until he started to listen to some of the talks of scholars of Islam. The talks he heard inspired him to change his direction and record a song that would remind himself and others of our purpose in life.
This was the turning point in 2004 which led him to Jamal Records and subsequently a duet with Yusuf Islam on the album Footsteps in the Light on the track 'The White Moon'. Since then Benammi has become part of the full time crew at Jamal Records and is busy preparing his first release as well as working closely with other artist projects.
A talented Composer and Artist, Benammi looks forward to sharing the message and adding his voice to the call. Benammi also recently composed and arranged the album 'Man'ana' of Khalid Belrhouzi and is now working with Zain Bhikha on his forthcoming release for 2008 |
